Bead Board
Elite Beadboard strips are only 5.5" wide making them easy to transport, cut, customize and install. Most installations take place in smaller rooms such as Bathrooms; these rooms offer many different obstacles which can be easily overcome by using a strip style Beadboard. Our Beadboard is made from MDF or Medium Density Fiberboard making it very durable and ideal for High Traffic Areas. MDF is very rigid and will not bow out over time, it is also Water Proof if painted with the proper paints and finished properly.
The Bayside Bottom Rail is notched out so that the Beadboard strips can fit right into it and give you a professionally finished look. It is also much wider than most readily available baseboards; making it elegant and allowing it to stand out in any room. The Top Rail is also notched out at the bottom in order for the Beadboard strips to fit seamlessly into the bottom. This little notch allows the finished job to look cleaner and makes the job much easier because there is less finishing work required.
Bead Board, is a trend that’s on the way back and is very easy to install using our Elite Beadboard Kit. We recommend a overall height of about 38” but if you prefer, you can go as height as 44”. To go higher, you'll need to install a spacer of the desired additional height and the same thickness of the bead board (11/32”) on the wall at floor level.
The spacer is required so that the baseboard will sit flat when installed. The stiles are pre-cut at 38” for ease of handling and to reduce UPS shipping charges. If you prefer to have you bead board less than 38” high, simply cut off what you don’t need.
